  • What does UniWhale monitor?
UniWhale tracks heart rate, breathing rate, sleep patterns (longer than 1 hour), abdominal temperature, digestive movements, and more. Additional features include: Foreign Object Detection: Alerts for potential hazards. Spit-Up Monitoring: Helps track and respond to spit-up incidents. AI-Personalized Music (Available 2025 Q1): Tailored music for soothing and sleep. Comprehensive Sleep Quality: Includes REM, non-REM analysis, and overall sleep health insights. Nasal Health Monitoring: Tracks nasal breathing quality and potential congestion. Oral Health Monitoring (Available 2025 Q1): Focused on early detection of oral issues. Proactive Care (Available 2025 Q1): AI-driven insights to anticipate and address potential needs before they arise. UniWhale delivers real-time alerts and actionable insights, enabling your baby’s promoting healthy growth every step of the way.
  • Does UniWhale provide alerts?
Yes, UniWhale sends alerts for events like irregular breathing, fever, large diaper changes, and more. You can receive these notifications in real time through the UniWhale app, which works over your home 2.4GHz Wi-Fi or mobile network. Additionally, the Smart Station near your baby includes a built-in speaker to instantly sync and deliver alerts and notifications. To minimize disruptions, especially while your baby is sleeping, you can use the UniWhale app to enable Silent Mode, which mutes the Smart Station's alerts while keeping critical notifications (e.g., out-of-range heart rate or nasal congestion warnings) visible on your app. This ensures you stay informed without disturbing your baby's rest.
  • What age group is UniWhale suitable for?
UniWhale is designed for children from newborns up to 7 years old. It adapts to your child's growth stages, providing personalized care features for every phase of development.
  • What materials is UniWhale made of?
UniWhale is crafted with food-grade silicone, offering a soft and safe material that is as gentle as a pacifier on your baby’s skin. Additionally, the wearable Care Band is designed to prevent loosening and ensure a snug fit. It is made from Baby Yarn® (Polyester) combined with Lycra®, the same elastic material used in diapers, providing both comfort and durability to meet your baby’s needs.
  • How does UniWhale help with sleep?
UniWhale analyze sleep stages (REM and non-REM), detect sleep disturbances, and even play personalized lullabies to improve your baby’s sleep quality.
  • How is UniWhale designed for comfort
UniWhale is lightweight and ergonomically designed to minimize skin contact, ensuring maximum comfort for your baby. The sensor is made with soft, food-grade silicone, similar to a pacifier, offering a gentle touch with a small contact area to reduce irritation. This design is highly skin-friendly and minimizes the risk of allergies or adverse reactions. The sensor can be worn on a diaper or above the navel using the soft care band, made from Baby Yarn® and Lycra®, ensuring a secure and flexible fit. If your baby experiences severe allergic reactions, discontinue use immediately and contact our customer service team for assistance. support@uni-whale.com
  • Can I use UniWhale for older children?
While UniWhale is optimized for children aged 0–7 years, certain features like sleep monitoring and health trend analysis may still be beneficial for older children.
  • Is UniWhale waterproof?
The UniWhale Sensor has an IPX4 waterproof rating, making it resistant to splashes and everyday baby activities. For cleaning: The Care Band (textile wearable) can be washed with water (please refer to packaging for detailed instructions). The UniWhale Sensor can be cleaned with a damp cloth or rinsed under a gentle stream of water. However, avoid exposing the sensor's input area (the black recessed section) to high-pressure water or strong airflow to ensure its functionality. The UniWhale Smart Station is not waterproof. Keep it away from water and out of your baby’s reach to prevent damage and ensure safety.
  • What kind of network connection is required for UniWhale?
To fully enjoy most of UniWhale's features, the Smart Station must be connected to a nearby 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. This can be provided by a dual-band (2.4GHz/5GHz) router in compatibility mode. If your router is set to 5GHz only, please enable compatibility mode to broadcast a 2.4GHz signal. Once connected, the Smart Station can sync with the UniWhale app and deliver real-time services such as alerts, notifications, and comprehensive baby care insights. This connection ensures seamless operation and maximizes the product's functionality.
  • Can UniWhale connect to any Wi-Fi network?
UniWhale does not support public or open networks that require additional login credentials or authentication, such as those found in cafes, hotels, or shared spaces. For optimal performance, please connect the Smart Station to a private 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network at home or another secure location. This ensures stable connectivity and allows you to fully utilize UniWhale’s features without interruptions.
  • Where can I buy UniWhale?
UniWhale is currently available for purchase on Amazon. You can visit our official Amazon store at: https://www.amazon.com/stores/page/11FBAA4E-38B8-4B5E-91AC-88D4B728984F

  • How do I set up the UniWhale software and devices?
Follow these steps for quick and easy setup: Download the UniWhale App: Search for "UniWhale" in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. The app is compatible with: Apple: iPhone 7 or later (iOS 8.0 or higher). Android: Version 5.0 or higher. Create an Account: Once you open the app for the first time, you can register using one of the following methods: Google Account Apple Account Email and Mobile Phone Prepare the Smart Baby Tag: Place the Sensor on the Smart Station with the UniWhale logo facing up and outward. Align the large and small circles of the Sensor with the corresponding recesses on the Smart Station. Let it sit on the Smart Station for at least 5 minutes before starting the device registration process. Ensure Your Environment Is Ready: Use a non-public, 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. Enable Bluetooth on your smartphone and ensure it has an active internet connection. Register the Device: Follow the UniWhale app’s step-by-step UI guide to complete user registration and device setup. Connect and Pair: Scan the Bluetooth signal on the Smart Station or Sensor to link your device. Pair the Sensor with the app and Smart Station via Bluetooth for seamless operation. For detailed instructions, refer to the user manual (inside the UniWhale APP) or the setup video (inside the UniWhale APP) available within the app. Following these steps will ensure smooth registration and optimal performance.
  • How do I wear the UniWhale Sensor on my baby?
The Sensor can be worn in two modes. We recommend the "Unfolded Mode" for a more secure fit, as it is less likely to be dislodged by your baby's movements. The second option is the "Buckle Mode." Mode 1: Unfolded Mode (Recommended) Preparation: Unfold the Care Band and locate the pocket. Place the Sensor into the pocket as shown in the instructions, ensuring the sensor’s recessed sound detection area faces outward. This ensures effective contact with the baby's skin for accurate monitoring. Wearing the Care Band: Lay your baby on their back. Gently lift your baby’s legs and slide the unfolded Care Band under their back, ensuring it sits above the diaper line. Secure the Care Band by tightening it with the self-adhesive fastener, wrapping it around your baby’s abdomen. Ensure the Sensor is firmly positioned on the baby’s abdomen, with the voiceprint detection area making contact with the skin. Mode 2: Buckle Mode: Preparation: Align the large circular part of the Sensor (with the UniWhale logo) and its extension with the large groove and folded groove of the Buckle Clip. Fold the soft voiceprint probe 180 degrees into the small circular groove of the Buckle Clip. Ensure the recessed voiceprint detection area is facing outward for proper functionality. Wearing the Buckle Clip with the Care Band: Lay your baby on their back. Gently lift your baby’s legs and slide the Care Band under their back. Position the Care Band just above the diaper line. Secure the Care Band by tightening it with the self-adhesive fastener, wrapping it around your baby’s abdomen. Attach the Buckle Clip (with the Sensor) securely to the Care Band, ensuring the voiceprint detection area faces the baby’s abdomen. Important Notes: Always avoid placing the Sensor over the baby’s navel. Instead, position it on the fleshy area above the navel for optimal monitoring. Ensure the Sensor is snug but not overly tight to maintain your baby’s comfort and safety.
  • What do the indicator buttons and alert sounds mean?
Smart Station Indicator Button: Press Once (When Active): Press the triangle button once to hear a voice description of the current status. You can also check the UniWhale app for real-time updates and usage instructions. Cancel Alert Sounds: Press the triangle button once to silence the alert. Play Lullaby: Quickly press the triangle button three times to play a lullaby. Stop Lullaby: Press the triangle button once again to stop the music. Alert Sounds for Smart Station: Emergency Alerts: Alerts for heart rate, breathing irregularities, foreign object and spit-up detected. For more detailed descriptions of alerts and notifications, refer to the UniWhale app. The app provides a comprehensive guide and updates on the status of your devices and settings.
  • What safety precautions should I follow when using UniWhale?
To ensure correct use of UniWhale, follow these guidelines: Do not expose the Sensor to high-pressure water or airflow to avoid damage to its sound detection components. Keep the Smart Station away from water and out of reach of children to prevent accidental damage or misuse. Ensure the Sensor is securely attached to the Care Band to avoid it becoming loose. Stop use immediately if you notice any severe allergic reactions and contact customer service for assistance.
  • How long does the sensor need to be charged on the Smart Station, and how long does it last per charge?
It is recommended to charge the Smart Baby Tag wirelessly on the Smart Station for at least 1 to 1.5 hours (60–90 minutes) before use. Charging Indicators: While charging, the Smart Station’s soft glow indicator light rotates, showing the charging process is active. Once the Smart Baby Tag is fully charged, the Smart Station’s indicator light will stop rotating, and the UniWhale App will display a full battery status in the real-time interface. Usage Time per Charge: A fully charged Smart Baby Tag can provide continuous use for approximately 16 to 24 hours, depending on usage and monitoring intensity. Automatic Detection and Activation: The Smart Baby Tag features an automatic attachment detection system, eliminating the need for a manual on/off switch. The device automatically activates when properly placed and attached to your baby. Low Battery Notifications: If the Smart Baby Tag is idle and the battery is running low, the UniWhale App will send you a notification reminding you to recharge it before the next use with your baby.
  • How do I clean and maintain the UniWhale devices?
Proper cleaning and maintenance ensure optimal performance and longevity for your UniWhale devices. Follow these steps: 1. Smart Baby Tag (Sensor): Avoid Immersion: Do not submerge the sensor in liquid or expose it to running water. Avoid poking or pressing objects into the small holes of the voiceprint detection probe. Wipe Clean: The sensor is splash-resistant and can be cleaned with alcohol, water, or a mild detergent using a soft cloth. Recommended Cleaning: Use alcohol for cleaning to ensure no residue is left behind. 2. Smart Station: No Waterproofing: The Smart Station is not waterproof. Avoid exposure to water or liquids. Dust and Dirt Removal: Use a damp cloth to gently wipe away dust and dirt from the surface. Take care to avoid getting moisture into the device.
  • How do I troubleshoot and set up my UniWhale device?
Follow these steps to ensure your UniWhale device is set up and working properly: Place the sensor with the white UniWhale logo facing up. Align the large and small circular sections of the sensor with the corresponding large and small recesses on the Smart Station. Connect the Smart Station to a wall plug using the provided USB cable for power. Charge the sensor for 60–90 minutes for full use. For first-time use, register and bind the device in the UniWhale app. If you encounter issues, refer to the user guide or instructional videos provided.
